Study of the parking experience at Munich Airport
Background
Munich Airport is a five-star airport that is always looking to improve its service to its guests and passengers. In this context, the airport has requested new knowledge about parkers’ opinions and satisfaction with the parking experience.
The pilot project will thus contribute new knowledge on how Munich Airport can best create the right parking experience for its many annual guests. This includes the overall satisfaction with the parking experience, the use and satisfaction of various parking offers and the potential for new services. To do this, Munich Airport hired Silverlining Research to collect and analyse data about the parking guest experience.
Method
Silverlining Research has collected over 800 face-to-face interviews in several of the airport’s car parks. The questionnaire was developed in co-operation between Munich Airport and Silverlining Research. The interviews were collected with Silverlinings regular team of interviewers, who also work on other passenger satisfaction surveys on behalf of Munich Airport.
Results
Based on the interviews, satisfaction with the parking experience at Munich Airport was found to be high, but with some room for improvement. The various additional products and services are generally well regarded, and the project has given Munich Airport clear insight into how they can grow and improve their parking solutions.
