Understanding the market for car sharing and car subscription in the UAE

Insight into consumer behaviour related to car subscriptions and car sharing in order to develop a sales and marketing strategy.

Background

In 2023, Silverlining Research conducted a comprehensive market study in the UAE to evaluate consumer behaviour related to car subscriptions and car sharing. The aim was to understand factors such as barriers, awareness and usage frequency.

Method

The study consisted of three parts: initial desk research, a quantitative online survey, and final in-depth qualitative interviews. This approach was designed to map the nuances of the market and customer behaviour in detail.

Results

The results offered strategic insights into Ekar’s market position, customer acquisition potential, the nature of customer loss, and key factors behind choosing Ekar to support the company’s sales and marketing strategy.
